Hello and Welcome!
VISIONS (formerly Dominican) Community Services is a community-based human service organization in the West End of Cincinnati, serving families from economically disadvantaged neighborhoods. We are committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by providing human services that strengthen families and promote self-sufficiency.
We provide support services to assist teen and young parents to graduate from high school, obtain a GED, enroll in colleges, and complete job training in order to secure employment. According to national data 75% of female high school dropouts live in poverty and two thirds earn less than $12,499 per year. These services recognize that a mother's education is the most significant indicator of a child's success in school.
We provide nationally accredited childcare for 80 children from 6 weeks to 5 years. The curriculum and daily activities prepare children to enter kindergarten ready to succeed.
Our philosophy is that an education is the most effective way to escape poverty. VISIONS nurtures families -- one family at a time, one child at a time - to create a better tomorrow!
